New Industrial Relations Laws Introduced July 1, 2009 and January 1, 2010
On July 1 2009 the Federal Government introduced significant changes to Australia's industrial relations laws. On January 1, 2010, Queensland referred it's Industrial Relations powers for private sector workers to the Federal Government. New Modern Awards have been created and new rules concerning Enterpries Bargaining exist. 
 
Changes to laws concerning unfair and unlawful dismissal, your rights to make complaints about your wages and conditions, and workplace bargaining may affect you.
