Many women work for better than award conditions with organisations that recognise the value of retaining loyal, trained workers and offer the flexibility to balance work and family commitments.

Most, if not all of these conditions have come through meaningful negotiations with the employer either on a collective or individual basis and have been improved upon in subsequent negotiations.

These workshops aim to:

• Increase women’s knowledge of minimum working conditions and rights;
• Increase women’s confidence in undertaking effective negotiations; and
• Increase the likelihood of employers and employees negotiating mutually beneficial agreements
